A resistor Is a electronic device that slows down the flow of electricity.
You can get resistors that are very accurate and inexpensive.
A LED is a Light emitting diode.
A diode is a electronic component that makes electricity only flow one way.
OHM's law is that the current through a conductor between two points
is directly proportional to the voltage across the two points.
PWM stands for Pulse Width Modulation. Pulse Width Modulation is
when you pulse DC voltage so fast that you can control the brightness of a LED
A Transistor is a electronic component that controls a bigger flow of electricity
by letting high voltage flow though the Transistor when the Transistor receives
a small amount of electricity though a certain terminal.
A Rectifier Diode is a electronic component that converts AC (alternating current)
to DC(direct current). It also makes the electricity flow one way.
A relay like a Transistor is a electronic component that is used to
control a larger flow of electricity using an electro magnet to turn the electricity on and of.
My blinking light Arduino program works by having a set of wires that
send electricity to the LEDs for one half of a second and then turns
of the flow of electricity. The Arduino will go though all the LEDs doing
this same proses and then start all over again.
Please watch my video to get a better under standing of what is going on.
My blinking light Arduino program worked great but it was
a lot of work to write out all the calls to the pins so
I instead built a for loop in project 2 that calls all of
the pins on the Arduino board for me.
